Election Commission orders Jharkhand BJP to remove misleading video, seeks explanation for alleged code of conduct violation.

JMM and INC had filed a complaint with the EC on Sunday, objecting to a video posted by BJP Jharkhand, describing it as "misleading and divisive." The video allegedly depicts the house of a JMM supporter with a banner of the party and a poster resembling Hemant Soren, captioned, “pure Jharkhand ka kaya palat kar denge.”

The Election Commission instructed the BJP to remove a controversial video in Jharkhand, following complaints. The state election chief ensured its removal, confirmed by the CEO, after concerns from Congress and the JMM.

Jharkhand CEO said that a takedown notice was sent to X/Twitter on Sunday and an FIR was also filed, much before the ECI sent communication to his office.
