The United States and the Philippines have signed an agreement to secure the exchange of highly confidential military intelligence and technology in key weapons the U.S. would provide to Manila.

Donald Trump has nominated Florida Senator Marco Rubio, a noted hawk on China, for US Secretary of State. Rubio is also known for his advocacy of human rights in Southeast Asia.

European stocks edged lower on Monday amid worries around Donald Trump’s policies and after stocks in China failed to hold onto intraday gains.
