The CDC has posted a Food Safety Alert regarding an outbreak linked to organic carrots across multiple states. So far as many as 39 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli have been reported from 18 states.

The outbreak, detected across 18 U.S. states, is linked to carrots and baby carrots sold by brands such as Wegmans, 365, Trader Joe’s and Nature’s Promise.

The carrots, produced by Grimmway Farms, were sold under several store labels, including Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.
