Rio Takeda of Japan won the LPGA’s Toto Japan Classic in a playoff that lasted six sudden-death playoff holes, defeating Marina Alex of the United States.

The LPGA reached the final event of its Asia swing, with the Toto Japan Classic being played last week at Seta Golf Course in Shiga. The tournament first started in 1973 and is co-sanctioned with the Japan LPGA.
