In a major policy shift, the Biden administration has authorized Ukraine to use the ballistic missiles within Russia.

Ukraine launched U.S.-made long-range missiles into Russia on Tuesday, according to Russian officials, firing the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) for the first time into the Russian territory since President Biden’s administration lifted the restriction over the weekend.

As the US finally gives Ukraine permission to use long-range strike munitions it had provided for strikes inside Russian territory, attention have turned to the specific capabilities provided, including the Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) short-range ballistic missile.
