Tis the season (or rather, nearly the season... but hey, who's counting?) for the revival of the beauty advent calendar. We know, we know; it's only September but here at Cosmo, we're already looking forward to the most wonderful time of year: Christmas.

Even though there are a few months until the holiday season, it's never too early to start planning which advent calendars you want to purchase this year. The early bird gets the worm, right? Plus, these limited-edition boxes — which typically contain tons of must-have products — tend to sell out pretty fast.

Confession: I was always envious of the kids whose families purchased a yearly chocolate advent calendar. The thought of being able to open a small box or shelf each day and indulge in a special piece of candy enthralled me.
