The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a request from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to appear on New York’s presidential ballot even though he suspended his campaign last month and backed former President Donald Trump.
Despite suspending his campaign, the independent presidential candidate was fighting to have his name restored to the state's ballot.
His request to be removed from the ballot was accepted in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. In North Carolina, a judge ruled, after ballots were already printed with his name on them, that Kennedy could be removed from the ballot, which has complicated their ballot rollout.
