Italian actress Isabella Rossellini will receive the European Achievement in World Cinema award at the December ceremony.

The nominees for this year's European Film Awards have been unveiled, with "Emilia Pérez," "The Substance" and "The Room Next Door" all up for best European film. Movies also in the running for the ceremony's top award - which was expanded this year to include documentaries and animated features - are Lina Soualem's "Bye Bye Tiberias";

Films like "The Substance," "Flow," "No Other Land," "Vermiglio," and "The Girl with the Needle" also had strong showings with nods in multiple categories.

Jacques Audiard‘s “Emilia Pérez” and Pedro Almodóvar‘s “The Room Next Door” topped Tuesday’s 37th European Film Awards nominations with four apiece. Both are up for Best European Film, Best European Director,
