The head of Georgia's electoral commission has been splashed in a black liquid, believed to be paint, whilst announcing a poll result in parliament. Official Giorgi Kalandarishvili was doused during the confirmation by David Kirtadze, an opposition party official.

Protesters in Tbilisi have rejected the October election results, based on suspicions of rigging, which the Georgian Dream party denies.
