Incumbents decided not to seek reelection in three of the districts. Republicans currently hold seven seats, while Democrats hold two. This year, all of the state's U.S. House races featured a Libertarian candidate running for office for the first time since at least 2012.
Kentucky (eight electoral votes) will be the first state to close its polls at 6 p.m. Eastern. For most of the eastern half of the country, voting polls will close between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., while polls on the West Coast will close at 11 p.m. Eastern.
Election results that look like victory for one candidate at 10 p.m. could shift the other way at 11:30 p.m., or even later. And it may take days to find out who won.
There are 93 electoral votes at stake among the seven swing states. If Ms. Harris and Mr. Trump win all the states they are expected to win easily, Ms. Harris will need 44 of these electoral votes to secure the presidency. Mr. Trump will need 51.
Republicans are favored to gain Senate control of the Senate as Democrats are on defense in several swing states. A two-seat swing for Republicans would flip the chamber.

The latest secretary of state data shows 1,892,614 ballots have been returned, and of those, over 1.04 million were from registered Democrats while 622,800 were from registered Republicans.
