More times than not, when South Carolina has found ways to win games this season, the defense has usually been the main reason why. But for one of the first times all year, the Gamecocks couldn’t count on their defense alone to get past Missouri on Saturday.

South Carolina is looking to end a five game losing streak to the Missouri Tigers this weekend. Gamecocks head coach, Shane Beamer, said in those losses South Carolina has been out physicaled. This year they come in with one of the best defenses in the country.

South Carolina, somewhat improbably, won on Saturday night. The Gamecocks came out with a 34-30 victory over Missouri after blowing a 15-point lead and after twice giving up go-ahead touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
