We enjoyed our day at Colonial Williamsburg. Had hoped to see more “trades” in action, but only found one (a kitchen). Would have appreciated more info on the individual buildings, ie. where it had… Full review by sharrongeg

Obviously this is a nice place to visit to take in historical buildings as well as what I expected would be re-enactment of life at that time. But it was very disappointing in that I would say at le… Full review by Marc L

Is there public transport from Colonial Williamsburg to Yorktown and ir Jamestown?
A:
Jamestown - yes. Yorktown - bus plus taxi. Bus leaves from and returns to the Williamsburg Transportation Center. No actual experience traveling to either destination by bus.

Hello, it is actually quite easy to get to Williamsburg from Washington, DC via public transportation. From Union Station in DC (near the U.S. Capitol building) you board an AMtrak train that goes straight through to the Williamsburg Station without changes. It takes about three and one-half hours from that point. You can also take the local METRO subway trains to Alexandria, Virginia, where there is an Amtrak station around the corner of the King Street Metro Station. From there the train takes about three hours to Williamsburg. At the Williamsburg station you can catch one of the local buses that bring you around town, or a taxi. The Williamsburg station is only a few blocks away from ticket offices to buy your visitor's pass to Colonial Williamsburg attractions. Come visit and enjoy.
Would Williamsburg be fun at Christmas for 6 adults? Looking for a place within driving distance of Phila for the holiday. (Prefer to head south.)
A:
Me and my adult friends spent a whole week there for a Halloween trip! They had so much going on then and they have even more during the Christmas season!
