Rottenegg is a village in the Hallertau of Bavaria, Germany. Formerly a separate municipality, it is now part of the municipality of Geisenfeld in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen. It is 5.7 kilometres southeast of the Geisenfeld town center, and extends 1.1 kilometres in a northwest-southeast direction. Munich is 70 kilometres south of the village. The former municipality and present village of Rottenegg includes the hamlets of Hornlohe, Moosmühle and Brunn.
