The figures in our State of The UK Barn Owl Population 2022 report are based on contributions from dedicated groups and individuals from around the UK, who all monitor a certain number of potential Barn Owl nest sites. Between them, an impressive 5,404 potential nest sites were checked over the 2022 breeding period, with 1,807 of these holding active Barn Owl nests.
